A treat!

Only One Mother

Hundreds of stars in the pretty sky,
Hundreds of shells on the shore together,
Hundreds of birds that go singing by,
Hundreds of lambs in the sunny weather.

Hundreds of dewdrops to greet the dawn,
Hundreds of bees in the purple clover,
Hundreds of butterflies on the lawn,
But only one mother the world wide over.

It's Mother's day today! How did you enjoy your day?
Well as for me... the day past just like my every ordinary days, except that I has been busy with MOM's DAY greetings thru emails, texts and phone calls from family and friends... and it really felt good to be remembered. Salamat po sa inyong mga greetings!

On the other hand... I posted last week that there is some Phil mango desserts menu in Famil Restaurant in Itoyokado this season. Yesterday, I found another mango dessert menu in Coco's. I tried the same dessert I ordered in Famil... well, it's tasty this time! (^-^)b Too bad... it is not written if the mangoes are from Philippines!

My hubs was suppose to treat me for yakiniku lunch at Keijoen in Suruga District yesterday... but sad to say, for 26 years service to their customers... they closed the restaurant to the public last Golden Week! Ah... no doubt this is another influence of economic recessions?! jejejeeeh!... we ended in KATSU MASU in Suruga District. It's my hubs 1st try to this place but he likes it!Wooow it's extra hot today! Parang summer na! Papie and I treated our selves for some summer casual clothings.

My new apron?! Cool desho!
Have a nice day!

Happy Mom's Day!

M-O-T-H-E-R
"M" is for the million things she gave me,
"O" means only that she's growing old,
"T" is for the tears she shed to save me,
"H" is for her heart of purest gold;
"E" is for her eyes, with love-light shining,
"R" means right, and right she'll always be,
Put them all together, they spell "MOTHER,"
A word that means the world to me.

Enjoying GW within the City! (Part 3)

It's been raining since yesterday! HIMA DAAA!
Yesterday, Papie and I went to Shimizu Jusco. It has been more than 10 years since we last visited Shimizu Jusco. Well, I didn't see anything that impressed me. It's just like the hypermarket I know around Shizuoka City, except I guess ... for cheap prices and unlike before... there are more chain stores and restaurants now.
My heavy lunch!

Today, I spent my day watching Japanese comedy movies in Wowow Channel. I enjoyed The Magic Hour (ザ・マジック・アワ、Za Majikku Awa) 2008 comedy movie by Koki Mitani. It's pretty funny... talagang tumatawa akong mag-isa while watching this weird movie!

I also enjoyed this Bubble Fiction: Boom or Bust (バブルへGO!!~タイムマシンはドラム式~ ,Baburu e go!! Taimu mashin wa doramu-shiki), a 2007 Japanese science fiction comedy film directed by Yasuo Baba. The plot centers on traveling in time from 2007 to 1990. Nag-time travel din pati memory ko bcoz I am already here in Japan during that year 1990. Marami pang pera that time ang Japan... hehehe!

Dang dropped by at home with uncle Jo and brought me and Lilibeth some of her home made foods like ginisang monggo, ginataan halo-halo and of course, champorado! Oishi katta~a!
Champorado DA~a!

We had our dinner tonight in Itoyokado... and here's an ad I found on the restaurant table... Mango dessert from Philippines! We ordered mango with yogurt coco... hmmm... well... there's nothing special on it! jejejeee! My dinner

Tomorrow... back to normal life... GW for us is over! Hope u enjoyed your vacation!

Enjoying GW within the City!

As part of the Golden Week... it's not just an ordinary Sunday today but also a holiday. It's Japan's Memorial Constitution Day.
Papie and I planned to go to onsen or a hot spring bath within the city. I thought we'll go to Umegashima but we end up driving to YURARA, Shizuoka's Health Promotion facility. The place is more on pool and training facility. They have a bath but not a hot spring! So we just decided to go to Sumpu Yume Hiroba. We also had our lunch there.

Festival of Praise 2009

Thanks for the invitation of Uncle Jo and Dang to JOB (Jesus Our Banner) Numazu Event, the Festival of Praise 2009... I had a blessed day today! Papa accompanied me and Sarah to Numazu to attend the event. They're all having lunch when we reached Numazu Bunka Center! Wooow ang daming traditional foods! Kararating lamang namin... kainan na agad!
The event was attended by kababayans from different areas of Japan. It's nice to see familiar faces there like the group of JOB Shizuoka, Olive, Maritess and Pastor Abner.
I also overwhelmed to see my long lost close friend Lolit! She never change... s'ya pa rin yung ever thoughtful, cheerful and kind Olive ni Popeye ! Hehehe! Papa was glad to see her too! Natsukashi da mo~n! We're glad to see her lovely daughter too! They came all the way from Saitama. They had an adorable dance show... I am glad, hindi nagkalat si Lolit! jejejeee!
Lolit with daughter, Eva and me!
By the way... her sister Anabel from Nagoya did not made it to come... we really missed her!
I am happy to meet Carmie from Nagano in person! She's a friend from Friendster which Lolit introduced to me. She's sooo friendly!
I am also surpised to see Joy... aka Eva for now! She really changed... at least for the better!
The prayers, praises and worships were good and touching... they also had some variety of gospel entertainment!
The Shizuoka groupUncle jo and his group song number was the best! Nostalgic scene! I am very thankful to our dear Lord for making this event a bridge to meet Lolit with her daughter! Seeing her reminds us of our good old days... with Maryann, Cristy, Tet and even Lina and the rest of the groups. Kumusta na rin kaya sila? She's also a part of me and papa's relation! Hindi s'ya yung kirida... kundi kunsintidora... hahaha!
Hope to see you all again! Thanks for the wonderful and memorable day!
