My Philippine NAKAMA group travelled all the way from Shizuoka to give support and cheer for our Shizuoka representative, Gina here in Tokyo for the Grand Final of UTAWIT 2015.
Then ... i just waited for the group here in Tokyo and met them all at the venue in Akasaka Shimin Center.
As to be expected ...Gina did a great performance of her IKAW version.
The 11 finalist from different regions were all good ... however, i did bet that our Shizuoka representative has a great chance to win this time. Not because she is a friend or she is our representative. Gina's performance was outstanding. Many kababayan said that our representative was terrific and not impossible if she will win.
When the final result was announced ... unfortunately, we were unable to get any place ... quite disappointing ...but that's it ... we maybe did not win but we learned :P
Anyway, Gina is still a winner in my heart and i am sure many felt the same way too.
Thanks to UTAWIT organizers and participants ... we will try our luck again next time.
Thanks to all my NAKAMA family who supported this event and thanks be to God that they arrived safe back home to Shizuoka.
