PISTANG PINOY in Shizuoka City

Maligayang Pagbati sa lahat!

For the first time, the Philippine NAKAMA Organization will be hosting the much-awaited Philippine Festival ---PISTANG PINOY ---  here in Shizuoka City.   PISTANG PINOY is a one day grand celebration of Filipino culture, music, arts, trades, games and food.  This is also a wonderful time to showcase Filipino culture and tradition to Japanese and international community in Shizuoka.

This festivity is also our one way of expressing "thank you" to Shizuoka City, as well as in Japan in general for all their continued support to all the Filipino residents, students, trainees and workers.  Likewise, to all their support and generosity to Philippine's calamity victims like last year's super typhoon Yolanda.

As Christian country, PISTANG PINOY is also a part of our early Christmas gift presentation to everyone.

In behalf of the Philippine NAKAMA Organization headed by Ms. Belinda Palima, present President and Ms. Ana Margarita Teodoro, Pistang Pinoy Over-all-Coordinator, our sincere thanks to our major sponsor, SBI Remit and to all our other sponsors and donors, performers, volunteers and of course to our Philippine Embassy in making PISTANG PINOY in Shizuoka City a resounding success.

Mabuhay ang PISTANG PINOY!

Sincerely yours ... M. Yamashita, adviser

Fellowship camp in Saitama with JCOB

I joined the JCOB Family Camp 2014 which was held in Naguri Genki Plaza, Hanno City, Saitama.  It's a yearly event and it's my first time to join.  Take note ... it's a family camp but even i am single ... i was there! :P
Thanks be to God for the 2 days and 1 night fellowship camp this weekend... i really did enjoy it not only with my fellow JCOB Shizuoka but also with all our sisters and brothers from other parts of Japan.  Unfortunately, I missed my BFF sis Lolit from Saitama coz her younger sis from Nagoya was visiting her that weekend ... however, i still believe that we can see each other again some other time.
Pastor Lem preaching

I love all the activities ... the seminars... camp fire ... church services ... devotions... our games which was not all about competitions but to play.  いろいろ勉強になりました! All the pastors and pastoras were good leaders as usual ... It's my first time to hear Pastor Lem and Pastor Jun's preaching ... yaaay i admire them ... they are good and they really moved me.

camp fire

I don't know how many times my tears fall down through praise and worship songs ... and all the touching prayers.

My group ... House of passion group

Sayang... many friends with small kids missed the lecture regarding teaching children how to love God ... early childhood education is important...  the best period to teach them is from early age up to seven.  The foundations for their social skills, perception of the world, moral outlook and self-esteem are established during these period of years including the development of cognitive skills.

Inspirational book of Haiku

Yaaay!!! i didn't know that my well respected friend, my Japanese big brother and boss-- Akira Mochizuki san is good in Haiku --- Japanese poetry.
I was surprised when he visited me yesterday at work and gave me as a gift his new released book of Haiku collection 千笑-- Chiemi
It's the 3rd edition of this book ... and with this edition, he also included some thoughts about Philippines history and values ... very inspirational and sensitive :)
I understand now why he kept taking down notes even we were all busy working in the Philippines last month... this is what he was composing and working out!

What surprised me more is that he is the editor of this book???
hahaha ... you are for real ...i salute you ... really so humble !!!

This book is published by 千笑会.

My life is Extended!

My testimony for today :P
Only my family and close friends knows about this...
but since the battle is over and i am really grateful and happy today...
i want to share this feelings to everyone.
It was 10 years ago when i was diagnosed of cancer in the breast ... stage 3.
After a year of fighting for it ... i been going to hospital for regular medications, examinations and checkups ... and i been doing that for 10 years now.  After 10 years  ... today is the final result if i can graduate from going to hospitals for checkups ... Glory be to God... my veteran doctor Nakagami sensei said ... i passed the test and i am a graduate patient!!!

this was me on my chemo days ... i was 43 years old then!
(one thing i hate was wearing a wig ... lol)

Yaaay ... it was a relief feeling ... one of the best day i am waiting for... i wanted to hug everyone for joy ... and while i was in the hospital parking lot ...  my dear sis Emily phoned and i told her that i am done from check ups and medications ... and we both cried for joy ... i shared to her that it's really important to be positive and have faith to Him ... coz He is only the Saviour and nothing is impossible to Him.
(Take note sis Malou... am talking from my tested experience... u are healed too xx)
Thank you so much Lord for extending my life ... thank you for the wonderful life ... and thanks to all my families and close friends who have prayed and supported me during my tough years... and still up to now.   Love u all xx

This is me now at 53 !!! Still alive and kicking :))

A happy heart is a good medicine and a positive mind works healing in our struggles in life.
Smile and have a good laugh always... it adds colors to our life.

I'm dedicating this powerful song to you ... my dear sis Malou ...

Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved; for thou art my praise.
--- Jeremiah 17:14

After 171 years ... Miracle Moon is here

Tonight... the miracle moon is back in Japan after 171 years ... it's once in a life time ...
It's about 3 times bigger than the ordinary moon we see.

unfortunately ... after i went out from spa tonight ... it turned to be so high and so far already ... not even the lens of my smart phone could reach it out anymore :(

however, i still enjoyed the super miracle moon viewing.

Christmas time is in Tokyo Disney again!

Papie has a reunion with his batchmates in Tokyo ... and we got 3 days holidays last weekend so Sachan and I went with Papie in Tokyo and spent our holidays in Tokyo Disney Resort.
Surprisingly... Tokyo Disney Resort is partly dressed up for the holidays!
An early feeling of Christmas spirit :)

My adventure with Sachan in Melbourne, Australia

Oh yeeesss ... seems i been traveling often lately ... i wonder where i get my power for that???!!!
After my last travel from Philippines ... my dear daughter surprised me to travel with her ...well we have plans but i have no idea when it will be because we need to work out on our scheds.  So that's it ... she did decide generally for the sched and i suffered to cancell all my works on my busy weeks just to be with her.  So we just planned this travel in a week and just by phone! I actually wanted to go to America but she said it's more expensive there ... lol and if ever, she want to go with her papa to America in the near future.
Well, i have no regret then ... i wanted this moment to travel with her ... just the two of us ... aside from Philippine travel... i missed our travel in Taiwan together... maybe that was about 15 years ago... and finally after a week preparations ... we did travel in Melbourne, Australia.
